From Vision to Leadership: The Success Journey of Sina Kammann

Early in her career, Sina Kammann had a clear vision of her professional path: She wanted to take responsibility and inspire people to pursue shared goals. With this vision and great courage, she began her career at Coroplast Tape, moving from Key Account Manager to Global Head of Sales. In her employee story, the 36-year-old shares how she turned her plan into reality, which experiences helped her grow the most, and where her career journey is headed next.

An Early Connection to Coroplast Tape

Sina Kammann was first introduced to Coroplast Tape as a child: “My father worked here in Field Sales for over 25 years. You could say I absorbed adhesive tapes from day one,” she laughs, recalling how he always brought home the latest Tapes. “He was a tinkerer who built and repaired a lot at home — and the tapes were always reliable helpers.” While she didn’t fully share his passion for adhesive tapes then, this early connection later had a decisive influence on her career.

Internship, Studies, First Job

At just 14, Sina completed her first school internship — “of course at Coroplast Tape,” she recalls with a chuckle. “It was just a first glimpse, but I immediately appreciated the people and the atmosphere.” After graduating from high school, she studied International Business and Economics in Maastricht. For her Master’s thesis, she deliberately picked Coroplast as her partner — since she wanted to implement her ideas in a company that had fascinated her for years. Things turned out differently – and in more than one sense: the university refused to accept Coroplast as a thesis partner. But in response, Coroplast offered her a permanent position. “It was an exciting moment — I saw it as a chance to take responsibility and make the next big step,” she reflects. In 2013, she started as a sales assistant at Coroplast Tape.

Resilience in Challenging Times

Just a few months later, Sina took on independent responsibility for a major customer. “The first months were demanding, but I knew I could handle it. Every day brought new experiences, opportunities to learn, and chances to grow,” she recalls.

In 2019, she became Group Leader in Business Field Management — at that point, without prior leadership experience. “But I was ready to take on that responsibility and grow with my team,” she explains.

Shortly after her promotion, the COVID-19 crisis shook the world: raw material shortages, price fluctuations, and sudden challenges demanded quick decisions. Sina faced these situations head-on, developing strategies to guide her team safely through turbulent times. “Resilience to me means accepting challenges, reacting flexibly, staying focused, and growing from the experience,” she says. Sina Kammann’s commitment and determination during the pandemic did not go unnoticed: At the beginning of 2022, she took over as Global Head of Sales at Coroplast Tape.

The COVID-19 crisis was a time of immense learning for me and has shaped me as a executive.

Understanding People Through Psychology

Her interest in psychology helped her most during those difficult times. It shaped a leadership style rooted in trust, collaboration, and mutual learning: “I value open communication. It’s a give-and-take: I bring in ideas, but I’m equally grateful for feedback and love it when my team convinces me with their perspectives.”

She applies her knowledge of human behaviour to lead constructively and resolve conflicts in a solution-oriented way. “Not everyone thinks like I do — learning to accept this, to take on other perspectives, and to respond appropriately to different situations helped me especially during the pandemic to guide the team with confidence,” she summarizes.

Recharging in Nature

Outside of work, Sina prioritizes balance. Nature, in particular, helps her recharge: “Spending time outdoors is essential for me. Whenever possible, I like to take my camper and escape the hectic daily routine to gain new perspectives.” These short trips help her clear her mind and regain energy. “Sitting by the campfire at night with a glass of wine, staying and enjoying the moment — it helps me leave everyday stress behind.

Looking ahead

“I am aware that the times ahead will remain challenging — perhaps even more so,” Sina acknowledges with respect and determination. That’s why it’s essential for her to always keep the bigger picture in mind: “I want to keep working on complex topics, motivating my team, and developing solutions that will make us even more successful,” she says, adding with a smile: “And of course, at Coroplast.”

For Sina, the Coroplast Group is more than just an employer. She values the company’s strategic foresight and the trust it places in its employees. “Here, everyone is moving in the same direction. And if you want to take on more responsibility, doors are always open,” she explains. She is convinced that you’ll be rewarded once you prove yourself—and her career path is the best example.

The Coroplast Group in One Word

“Extremely exciting,” Sina answers without hesitation. “The Coroplast Group is a dynamic, diverse company with opportunities. I’m sure that won’t change anytime in the coming years.”
