If you ask Tabea Lorenz about her job at the Coroplast Group, she will enthusiastically describe her position as follows:
As an "Inhouse Consultant Sales & Marketing", she keeps the customer relationship system (CRM) running and coordinates with the specialist departments on a daily basis to continually work on its improvement. Tabea Lorenz is responsible for recording the requirements of the sales department, developing possible solutions, and ensuring they reach technical implementation.
To do this, the 27-year-old switched from her position as Key Account Manager in the Coroplast Tape division to the IT department last year – and initially had to "really get to grips with the system".
"I've always been very interested in the technical side of things", says Tabea Lorenz, who already had touchpoints with the CRM system in her previous position in Sales.
So, she took the opportunity and started her dual studies in digitalization and management alongside her work – including topics such as IT project management. If working and studying at the same time sounds challenging, that’s because it is! But she was reassured by support from the Coroplast Group – both in terms of financial support and flexible working hours.
What Tabea Lorenz particularly appreciates at the Coroplast Group is the diversity of her tasks and the flexibility in her day-to-day work. For example, she can freely and individually design solutions to achieve her project goals. She also enjoys her role as a link and driving force between all the diverse people and areas of the Coroplast Group by communicating, bringing people together and achieving something as a collective – because for Tabea Lorenz, the Coroplast Group is "a team, rather than a collection of specialist areas".
I think I'm good at bringing people and departments together - that's also what my job requires, and I really enjoy it.
Tabea Lorenz also lives and breathes socializing and direct interaction with people in her private life: for example, when cooking meals with others that span national and international cuisines - preferably Italian and "beyond pizza and pasta".
She finds moments to herself with her Westphalian mare Rißnei, who has been with her for 15 years, and by reading fantasy novels. Her book recommendations for us: "Harry Potter, of course, but also 'The Song of the Crayfish' by Delia Owens - I'm particularly captivated by that book at the moment."
Incidentally, if Tabea Lorenz had to describe her work at the Coroplast Group in one word, her answer would be: "Educational - because it's always full of exciting surprises".
