Continuing our tradition of sponsored art tours, the Coroplast Group once again invited employees to enjoy an inspiring evening at the Von der Heydt Museum in Wuppertal. The exhibition “Museum from A to Z: From the Beginning to the Future” offered captivating perspectives on the history and transformation of this celebrated cultural landmark.

Insights into the history and future of museums

The exhibition “Museum from A to Z: From the Beginning to the Future” explores the history, present, and future of the Von der Heydt Museum and raises the question of how museums operate and continue to evolve today.

During the exclusive guided tour on November 13, 2025, participants were taken on a journey from the museum’s founding years and early collections to topics such as the provenance and restitution of artworks, as well as current issues like digitalization, inclusion, and decolonization. The tour impressively demonstrated how historical collections can be placed in a contemporary context and how openly the museum engages in dialogue with society.

An evening of exchange

For many of the 30 employees and their guests, the visit to the museum was far more than a traditional guided tour. It offered an opportunity to experience art from new perspectives and to enjoy relaxed conversations with one another.

What left a lasting impression was how vividly the knowledgeable guide demonstrated that museum work today is not only about preservation, but also about questioning, contextualizing, and reinterpreting. As one participant put it: “I was impressed by how consistently the museum addresses current topics such as participation and provenance research.”
