Three industrial apprentices each form a team. Together, they set themselves the task of implementing a tricky project in practice. It's going to be exciting and the apprentices will once again gain a lot of valuable experience in this challenge! The practical goal behind this year's project motto is "trade show exhibit": The Coroplast Group is on the road at numerous job fairs, career days and training events.
On site, colleagues repeatedly find that potential applicants first and foremost want to find out who we actually are and what we do. To fulfill this wish, an aesthetic eye-catcher would be a great help: an exhibit that quickly, originally and with modern means gets to the heart of what the Coroplast Group and its three subsidiary brands are all about and what products they manufacture.
Those who want to master the apprentice pitch have to get quite a lot going in a relatively short period of time. This is because the presentation of the results already takes place in August and each apprentice is allowed to invest a maximum of five hours per week in the project. With these sporty conditions, the project has to be well planned and managed.
After all, each team has to develop a strong idea, develop it into a detailed concept and create a realistic prototype. To do this, the trios each have a budget of 4,500 euros at their disposal, which they can manage independently. In addition, the participants shall document all important steps and successes during the project phase with photos and videos to edit a short film for the final presentation.
The highlight of the challenge is a final pitch. Here, our young talents are allowed to "sell" their prototypes to a company-internal jury. The idea, project management, implementation and creativity are evaluated. Rhetoric, body language, visualization and the use of media in the final presentation are also taken into account.
Of course, we don't leave our apprentices alone with this wealth of tasks and hurdles. That's why the three teams receive project management support and three mentors help with any technical questions that arise.
We wish our apprentices much success and are already very excited about the solutions with which they will support our trade fair teams.
