Our all-new web pages on art and sport cover everything employees, job seekers, and other interested parties need to know about our initiatives in these areas. One way we support our employees is by providing professional training to prepare for the Wuppertal Schwebebahnlauf, a Suspension Railway Run, we sponsor. Ever since the event began in 2013, more and more colleagues have been signing up each year, which has improved their personal health, strengthened our team spirit, and contributed to a supportive, family-oriented atmosphere. Our employees and their families enjoy a similar experience during the annual Family Days at our locations in Poland. These events provide us with valuable opportunities to showcase our production processes, promote family interaction, and strengthen community spirit across our sites.
As well as promoting physical health, we also strive to cultivate a creative work atmosphere. This is why we brighten our corridors, offices, and outdoor spaces with works of art to inspire creativity and encourage interaction. Our engagement in this area supports up-and-coming artists by offering them a prominent platform to showcase their work. We also provide opportunities for our employees to connect with like-minded colleagues, both in the workplace and during group museum visits. These team outings encourage interaction across departments and serve to strengthen team spirit.
Our commitment to social responsibility reaches far outside the factory gates. We strive to undertake initiatives that promote the common good, support learning, and add value to both city life and the people around us. This includes supporting the Wuppertal Kinder-Tafel children’s charity and local children’s and youth hospice through various fundraising campaigns. We are proud to have employees who are prepared to roll up their sleeves and take a hands-on approach – quite literally, too, in the case of a recent project that involved painting and furnishing a room for a children’s charity.
The TRANSURBAN Residency project showcased that our materials normally meant for car interiors can also revitalize urban landscapes. This is a platform for international artists, students, and teachers alike to share their ideas with the wider community and local authorities. In this way, urban art and city research are woven together to create fresh new perspectives. As a case in point, the landscape architecture collective ‘VonNull’ crafted two kilometers of our orange charging cables into sleek steel frames, which were then transformed into comfortable seating and lounging spots.
Here at the Coroplast Group, we appreciate the immediate impact of our efforts, but also aim to leave a lasting impression. Our focus on art, culture, and social responsibility helps us to create enduring, inclusive, and creative outlooks for the future. As a family company with a global reach, we are dedicated to making sure our influence extends well beyond just business. This is our contribution to a world in which professional interests and social well-being go hand in hand.
