Whether sun, wind, rain or extreme temperature fluctuations – solutions for permanently bonding glazing bars to windows and doors have to be able to withstand exceedingly demanding conditions. Until now, only solvent-based adhesives could reliably cope with these high demands. With the new Coroplast Tape 4230, the specialist in technical adhesive tapes has now developed the first ift-tested, solvent-free adhesive tape for bonding glazing bars. The double-sided adhesive tape based on a special acrylate adhesive performs particularly strongly: it is temperature-, weather-, UV- and media-resistant and features outstanding adhesive strength combined with extraordinarily high shear strength. Since it is solvent-free, it is also especially eco-friendly and non-hazardous to health: the ift-tested Coroplast Tape 4230 exhibits outstanding VOC values and produces no emissions whatsoever.
At the Fensterbau Frontale trade fair – being held between 21 and 24 March in Nuremberg – the adhesive tape specialist will be presenting the innovative product to the public for the first time. The Coroplast Tape team is looking forward to meeting numerous visitors, who will be able to see the reliable adhesive strength of the new tape for themselves on stand 5-240 in hall 5.
The Coroplast Tape product portfolio features a wide range of single- and double-sided adhesive tapes, transfer films and acrylate compounds for permanently fixing and pre-fixing components and serving as assembly aids in the manufacture of windows. In addition, the various technical adhesive tapes offer solutions in a number of other application areas, such as the automotive industry, the plant engineering and construction sector as well as the building industry.
