Our Group's apprentice pitch went into a new round. This year, our apprentices and dual students developed apprentice recruiting videos for the Coroplast Group – and achieved impressive results with creativity and team spirit.

Target group-oriented recruiting is more important than ever. To ensure that all apprentice positions can be filled with competent junior staff, the Coroplast Group must also assert itself against other employers and present itself attractively to potential apprentices. For a targeted approach, it is therefore important to know the needs of the target group – and who knows these better than those who are already completing an apprenticeship or dual study program with us? That's why the task in this year's apprentice pitch was to develop and produce an apprentice recruitment video.

The path to success – from the concept to the final video

Every year, we hold an apprentice pitch where we challenge and support our young talents: From project management and budget planning to presentations to our management – we prepare them optimally for their future tasks.

With 2,000 euros each, we provided this year's three apprentice teams, each consisting of 5-6 people, with a budget that enabled a professional video production. The necessary know-how was taught as part of project management training and video production workshops. The teams received active support from five experienced mentors. 

The challenge was not only to create high-quality video clips, but also to answer conceptual questions:

  • How do we best reach our target group?
  • How do we get our message across?
  • What visual language and content suits the Coroplast Group?
  • How do we integrate the corporate design into the project?

A look at the results

After an intensive nine-month project phase, the three teams presented their final videos to our jury on November 14, 2024, consisting of our CEO and Chairwoman of the Management Board, Natalie Mekelburger, as well as other specialists and managers from various areas of the company.  The winning teams were then chosen:

Leon Nüßgen, Philipp Karusseit, Samaah Asci, Fynn Förster, Max Brux and Jan Vatter will each receive an Amazon voucher worth EUR 100.

The videos will be used for the Coroplast Group's recruiting measures after final fine-tuning. In the future, they will be shown on our careers page, on social media channels and at apprenticeship fairs – you can look forward to seeing what our apprentices have come up with!
